Fotobuch aus der Professional Line von Saal Digital.

2.7 Kilos Of Favorite Photos

I took around 18,000 pictures during my trip around the world – photos, videos, with the DSLR and the mobile phone. What to do with so many photos? Sort out radically – and print the most beautiful pictures in a photo book.

Blurred, unintentionally out of focus, blatantly over- or underexposed, motif turns out to be not so great on the computer, serial images – all of these are reasons to delete a photo. Merciless. Because honestly: Lateron, you will never look at photos like this. So I quickly reduced my approximately 18,000 photos and videos from 290 travel days to around 4,900. However, only about 1,500 photos end up in an album, or rather several albums. In my case, that’s an average of 166 pictures per country. Still a lot if you want to share travel experiences with friends.

The most beautiful pictures, my absolute favorite photos – that’s around 200 – I have therefore summarized in a special album: in a photo book Saal Digital’s Professional Line*. The special thing about it: The cover is made of acrylic glass. The whole is bordered with leather. This ensures a high-quality look. That’s why the book doesn’t sit next to my other photo books in the closet, but rather clearly visible in the bookcase.

Good flatness - photos can be drawn over two pages without the half picture disappearing in the binding.

There are several things that I particularly like about the Saal Digital photo books: The paper – I prefer matt rather than glossy – is always of very high quality, the pages are pleasantly firm, the binding clean. It is particularly great that the books are flat. This allows photos to be drawn over two sides without the half picture disappearing in the fold. The color rendering is just wonderful. I have maxed out the number of pages: My almost 200 favorite photos have space on 130 pages and weigh a whopping 2.7 kilos in 30×30 cm format. So, nothing that I take as extra luggage when I visit friends. ? But it’s just the right format for this special occasion. And thanks to some quotes from my travel diary and from people who inspired me on the way, a particularly personal photo book.

The color rendering is wonderful.
